Scholarships for Students

Balagarh Bijoy Krishna Mahavidyalaya

To assist the meritorious students belonging to economically challenged families in the State of West Bengal to pursue higher studies, the Government of West Bengal introduces different scholarships at different levels of higher studies, at educational institutions situated in West Bengal.

1.Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means scholarship(SVMCM)

  1. Applicants should apply online on the official portal of SVMCM only (https://svmcm.wbhed.gov.in/ )
  2. At least 60% marks in Last Qualifying Exam
  3. The upper ceiling for family income has been fixed at Rs.2,50,000/- per year.
  4. Scholarship amount of 12000/- per year.

 

2.Online Application for Scholarship in Studies (OASIS)

  1. Applicants should apply online on the official portal of Oasis only (https://oasis.gov.in/ )
  2. At least 50% marks in Last Qualifying Exam.

iii.  Only SC/ST/OBC/PH students can apply.

iv. The upper ceiling for family income has been fixed at Rs.2,00,000/- per year.

  1. Scholarship amount of 4500/5000 (Approx.) per year

 

3.National Scholarship Portal (NSP) Central Scholarship.

National Scholarships Portal aims at providing a common electronic portal for implementing various Scholarship schemes. After successful online registration, the System suggests the scheme for which a student is eligible.

  1. Applicants should apply online on the official portal of NSP only (https://scholarships.gov.in/ )
  2. At least 50% marks in Last Qualifying Exam
  3. The upper ceiling for family income has been fixed at Rs.2,50,000/- per year.

 

4.Aikyashree Scholarship

 

  1. Applicants should apply online on the official portal of  http://wbmdfcscholarship.org/ only.
  2.  At least 50% marks in Last Qualifying Exam

iii.      The upper ceiling for family income has been fixed at Rs.2,50,000/- per year.

iv.Scholarship amount of 10000/- per year.

 

5.Nabanna Scholarship

Each year, the scheme provides valuable support to meritorious individuals in West Bengal through the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, enabling them to pursue their educational aspirations.

i.        Applicants should apply offline.

ii.       At least 55/60% marks in Last Qualifying Exam

iii.      The upper ceiling for family income has been fixed at Rs.1,20,000/- per year.

iv.Scholarship amount of 10000/- per year.

 

Besides various govt. scholarship schemes, a good number of students of our college avail the Jindal scholarship, Tata scholarship every academic year.
