Internal Quality Assurance Policy

Policy: The IQAC Policy is formulated with the primary objective of establishing quality as the fundamental element within the Institute. This is achieved through a comprehensive approach that involves a blend of self-assessment and external quality evaluations, as well as the implementation of initiatives aimed at promoting and sustaining high standards.

Purpose: Quality is commonly characterized as the consistent attainment of correctness. Therefore, the fundamental aim behind establishing an Internal Quality Assurance System is to develop a framework that ensures awareness, consistency, and catalytic measures for enhancing both the academic and administrative facets of the Institute. This process also involves the institutionalization and internalization of a culture committed to maintaining high standards.
Scope: This policy is applicable to all academic and administrative departments of Balagarh Bijoy Krishna Mahavidyalaya.
Structure: The formation of an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) involves appointing the Principal as the chairperson.
The structure of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) includes:
  1. Chairperson: The Principal serves as the Chairperson.
  2. Coordinator: The Coordinator oversees the coordination and implementation of IQAC activities.
  3. Criteria Coordinators(Teacher Representatives) :These coordinators may be tasked with overseeing specific aspects of the accreditation process and working collaboratively to prepare the institution for evaluation by NAAC.
  4. External Members: ?Industrialist, local society representative 
  5. Administrators: Non teaching staffs
  6. Representatives: Representative from alumni, Representative from students.

This diverse composition ensures a comprehensive and multi-stakeholder approach to quality assurance, incorporating perspectives from education, industry, local community, and various administrative roles within the institution.

IQAC Composition

Function: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at, Balagarh Bijoy Krishna Mahavidyalaya  is responsible for various functions outlined below:

1. Creating a Student -Centric Environment: ICT enabled classroom,Student centric method,

 

  Policy documents for students welfare

  • Facilitating the development of an environment that is conducive to quality education and supporting faculty maturation in adopting the necessary knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning.

2. Feedback Mechanism:

Students Feedback: 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023

  • Organizing mechanisms for feedback from students and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.

3. Dissemination of Information: NIRF, AISHE

  • Sharing information on various quality parameters relevant to higher education.

4. Workshops and Seminars: 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023,

  • Organizing both inter and intra institutional workshops and seminars on quality-related themes, as well as promoting quality circles.

5. Documentation of Major Policy Decisions for  Improvement : IQAC Meeting Archive

  • Documenting various programs and activities aimed at improving quality.

6. Institutional Database Management: ERP and other interface documents

  • Developing and maintaining an institutional database to support the enhancement and maintenance of institutional quality.

7. Cultivating Quality Culture: Inhouse talk report

  • Fostering a culture of quality within the institution.
8. Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR): AQAR Report Year-wise
 
Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) in accordance with the guidelines and parameters set by NAAC, to be submitted to NAAC.
The IQAC plays a crucial role in ensuring continuous improvement and the maintenance of high-quality standards across all aspects of the institution.
